Please note the castle itself is only open to the public on specified open days or by prior arrangement. There is no public access otherwise. Open day parking is provided by Manorafon Farm and within the Gwrych Castle Estate.
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times on the estate due to the presence of ground-nesting birds, livestock and the presence of the Local Authority’s dog warden.

Travelling East (From Chester)
Stay on the A55 to junction 24 sign posted Abergele • Follow the A547 through Abergele • Proceed straight through 2 sets of traffic lights • At the Tescos roundabout take the 1st exit, straight on • Continue to follow the A547 for approximately 300 metres • Pass a very large stone arch on your left hand side • Staying on the A547, 100 meters after the arch turnn left • Follow the private drive for 150m, at the top of the drive turn right and enter the Gwrych Castle Estate.
Travelling West (From Holyhead)
Stay on the A55 to junction 23 sign posted Llanddulas and Abergele • Follow the A547 through Llanddulas heading for Abergele for approx 2 miles • At the Business Park roundabout take the 2nd exit, straight on • On reaching the 30mph speed limit immediately turn right • Follow the private drive for 150m, at the top of the drive turn right and enter the Gwrych Castle Estate.
